In the School of Health & Human Services we’re dedicated to providing education in a range of caring professions in our community. We offer a variety of certificate, diploma and degree programs, as well as a post-degree diploma program. We work in partnership with universities, other colleges and employers to bring you the best opportunities to continue your learning… and to find employment.

Certified Dental Assistant; Community, Family and Child Studies; Community Mental Health; Community Support and Education Assistant; Dental Hygiene; Early Childhood Care & Education; Indigenous Family Support; First Nations Health Care Assistant; Health Care Assistant (also HCA—ESL); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (in partnership with the University of Victoria); Nursing Access for Practical Nurses; Practical Nursing; and Practical Nursing Access for Health Care Assistants; Post Degree Interprofessional Mental Health & Addictions.
In September 2011 we will offer, for the first time, a Medical Radiography Technology diploma program.
The School of Health & Human Services offers university transfer health courses; and, our Continuing Education programs include Activity Assistant and Medical Laboratory Assistant.

We have excellent department chairs and teachers who are leaders in their professional fields. With their assistance, you’ll have many opportunities to practice new skills in “living laboratories” with social services and health care agencies, hospitals, dental service agencies, First Nation communities, and a range of agencies on southern Vancouver Island.
We are also expanding our range of International field schools. Our students have traveled to Africa, India, Mexico, Sweden, Tonga, the Philippines and Nepal.
