Since the spring of 2010, Cathy has done clinical teaching for Camosun College and University of Victoria, and classroom teaching as well as some project work for Camosun College. She has clinical specialties in Critical Care Nursing and Emergency Nursing and has worked as a direct patient care provider, a manager, an educator and a private consultant in a number of different clinical settings across BC. Cathy’s past experience also includes teaching in the Critical Care and Emergency post basic Nursing specialty programs through BCIT for approximately 15 years. She has served as the Education Coordinator for the Emergency Nurses Group of BC in the past as well as a member of the CNA Emergency Nursing Certification Committee. Decision making in chaos was the focus of her post graduate studies and continues to be of great interest to her. Cathy continues to be involved in educational technologies and exploring how they can be used to best support student learning and application to practice.
