Kristin combines her broad-based experience and knowledge to facilitate student learning and prepare our graduates to support people living with mental health and addiction challenges. With over 15 years’ experience working with children, youth, adults, and families in community hospital and day treatment settings, Kristin is pleased to be one of the program leaders and an instructor in Camosun’s mental health and addiction programs.
Kristin has taught in many post-secondary programs including Child & Youth Care, Family Studies, Therapeutic Recreation, Early Childhood Education, Special Needs Educational Assistant, and Community, Family, and Child Studies. She also has more than 10 years’ experience as a certified trainer of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. Kristin began her post-secondary career in 1992, initially supporting practicum students in Child Life and Psychiatry and serving on program advisory committees. She began her teaching career at Lethbridge College and joined Camosun College in 2004.
