Lori Zehr On Leave
Lori has been involved in the health, fitness, and rehabilitation industry for the past 25 years in higher education, the government sector, and as a practitioner. Since coming to Camosun College she has served as faculty, Department Chair, Divisional Associate Director, and Interdisciplinary Education Coordinator. As Associate Dean Lori contributes to student success by providing strong people, leadership and management skills to ensure seamless coordination of School operations and activities with a focus on positive student experiences through excellence in scholarship, teaching, and service.
Lori has been involved with shaping the delivery of Integrated Sport/Medical Teams, Family Health Care and Primary Health Care (integrated) teams in various provinces, and the growth of the Exercise is Medicine Canada initiative nationally. She is an active Coach in the sport industry with a passion for engaging girls and women in physical activity and sport across the lifespan. She is actively involved with a number of national steering committees and is an advocate for the role of (exercise) professionals in promoting behaviours that lead to a more active and healthy population to prevent and manage the impact of chronic diseases.
