Cynthia Smith

Beginning my sixth year at Camosun College as a visitor on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen People I continue to learn from students and colleagues and through opportunities and challenges in my role as Dean.

My passion is ensuring equity, access and engagement for people in the community to health and human services which I see exemplified in all HHS programs and courses. There will be even more opportunity for community participation in the new Alex & Jo Campbell Centre for Health and Wellness which will open at the Interurban Campus in Fall of 2019.

I am an Adjunct Professor in the School of Nursing, University of Victoria and active on several provincial and national health committees.

My husband and I continue to enjoy all the beauty and opportunity the Island offers to us and our visiting children and grandchildren.
