Currently, the Blue Seal Certification is only awarded in Alberta and Saskatchewan, with a similar certificate offered in the Atlantic Provinces through the new Atlantic Trades Business Seal Program. In line with the Federal Governement's commitments to encourage entrpreneurship, Economic Action Plan 2015 proposes to provide $1 million over five years to Employment and Social Development Canada's Red Seal Secretariat to promote the adoption of the Blue Seal Certificate program across Canada.
