Tom Wood Term Instructor, Hospitality, Tourism, & Golf Management
Tom Wood joined Camosun College in the fall of 2018 as a term instructor. Tom teaches in the School of Tourism & Hospitality Management and the School of Management & Human Resource Leadership. He also teaches Human Resource Management and Operations Strategy at Royal Roads University.
Prior to teaching at Camosun College, Tom worked in the hotel industry for eleven years. He managed the Guest Services department for the Hotel Grand Pacific, Villa Eyrie Resort and Parkside Hotel & Spa, and held various supervisory/front-line roles at properties including the Shelbourne Hotel, Fairmont Chateau Whistler and Wickaninnish Inn. Tom was also Vice Director of the Victoria Guest Services Network (VGSN) from 2015-17 and Director from 2017-18.
Tom holds a Master of Arts in Tourism Management from Royal Roads University (2018) and is working on his Provincial Instructor Diploma at Vancouver Community College (2020). In his spare time, Tom is an avid musician (guitar) and loves to spend time outdoors.
