Tana Kristjanson Instructor, Accounting & Information Systems
MEd, BRS, CPA, CA, CFE
I am currently away for a year on sabbatical.
I have enjoyed teaching at this college for ten years and have taught our introductory financial accounting, intermediate financial accounting, management accounting (207), audit, and fraud awareness. I have had the opportunity to hold the roles of Acting Chair, Program Leader, Co-op & Internship Coordinator, and Co-op Field Instructor. Outside of the college I have taught Module 1 and Module 3 in the legacy Chartered Accountant program and the financial accounting topics for the legacy Certified Management Accounting program. Prior to teaching at Camosun I taught introductory accounting in Nanaimo at Vancouver Island University (it was Malaspina at the time) and introductory accounting as well as, computer applications at North Island College in Courtenay.
I have a Masters of Education through Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Recreation Studies and Physical Education from the University of Manitoba. I was originally a CA and hold an American designation - the Certified Fraud Examiner.
It’s a privilege to teach these challenging and rewarding courses. I look forward to returning next year.
