Geneviève Beninger Instructor, Applied Business Technology
Geneviève Beninger is a new faculty member in the School of Business. Geneviève’s career has spanned the arts, commerce, technology, and education and she combines these in her teaching practice. She worked in private sector “edutainment” gaming, design, and online commerce before joining the Public Service. During her 14 years with the Department of National Defence, she worked and taught in the areas of information management, intranets as a communications infrastructure, database integration, and sought efficiencies in military training. She was deeply involved with the initial strategic expansion of online learning in the Canadian Navy and also taught online Master’s programs for Royal Roads University. Geneviève is a Camosun alumnus in the Visual Arts, holds an MBA in Digital Technologies Management from Royal Roads University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education at Athabasca University with a focus on Distance Education. Geneviève enjoys working with her students to help them develop new skills and knowledge and connect these to real and meaningful applications.
