Indigenous Studio Art – ART 106-001 (transfers to UVic, Emily Carr and many more)
Designed to introduce you to the indigenous approaches to studio art, this weekly 4-hour studio based course will allow you to discover the transformative power of creativity through traditional indigenous art forms. Masks, drums, button blankets and storytelling are all traditional forms for indigenous cultures but how are these still relevant today?Monday, January 31 - May 9, 5:00-8:50pm

The Criminal Justice System – CRIM 154-002 (transfer to UVic, SFU, UBC and more)
This course examines the ‘nuts and bolts’ of the Canadian Criminal Justice system and encourages discussion and critique. You’ll analyze who does what (policing, courts, corrections) and look at how the system is supposed to function efficiently in our society. Your final project will allow you to demonstrate your knowledge of how an accused person moves through the justice system from first point-of-contact with police to incarceration.Tuesday, February 1 – May 10, 6:00-8:50pm

English Composition – ENGL 150-032 (transfers to UVic, SFU, UBC and more)
This is a required course in almost all university and college programs and is equivalent to first-year university English. Develop your writing skills and learn to write in an organized, clear and effective manner. The course will prepare you to succeed in academic writing and research as well as critical thinking.Tuesday, February 1 – May 10, 6:00-8:50pm

Creative Writing: Fiction 1 – ENGL-154-002 (transfers to UVic, SFU, UBC and more)
Taught in a workshop style, this creative writing course will give you the opportunity to develop prose-writing skills with a focus on short stories. You’ll learn about the literary elements of fiction and apply them to your own writing. Peer and instructor feedback are a central part of the course.Thursday, February 3 – May 12, 6:00-8:50pm

Child Development – PSYC 150-003 (transfer to UVic, SFU, UBC and more)
Discover how children grow and develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, psychologically and socially from infancy to middle childhood. There will be an emphasis on a child’s needs at any given age and stage, with a discussion on how these needs can best be met.Wednesday, February 2 – May 11, 6:00-8:50pm
