Christine Kirchner

BA Honours English, MA English Literature, Diploma in Applied Linguistics

Christine teaches creative writing, literature, and composition in the Camosun College English Department.  Before becoming a permanent instructor in the English Department, she taught at the University of Victoria and in the Camosun College School of Business. She has two adult children and four grandchildren. She loves to play tennis and is currently an active member and president of The Oak Bay Tennis Club. Christine has a passion for literature and loves to write both fiction and nonfiction. She has taught at Camosun since 1996 and has developed three creative writing courses which are now part of the English Department curriculum; namely, CRWR 152: Creative Nonfiction 1, CRWR 155: Introduction to Personal Narrative, and CRWR 252: Advanced Creative Nonfiction 2. Christine tries to share her enthusiasm for the English language in her teaching of both creative writing and literature.
