Camosun’s Welding C program, part of the Provincial Welders’ Training Program, is designed to give you the preparation you’ll need to enter the welding trade.
Through hands-on, practical learning, that conforms to industrial standards, practices and procedures, you’ll receive training in:
- Introduction and Safety,
- Oxy-Fuel Gas Cutting,
- Oxy-Fuel Gas Welding and Brazing,
- Shielded Metal Arc Welding,
- Arc Air Gouging,
- Gas Metal Arc Welding,
- Flux Cored Arc Welding,
- Materials Handling,
- Blueprint Reading,
- Welding Metallurgy and Math Supplement.
With the Welding C program’s individualized and personalized instruction, you’ll acquire the skills required for success in today’s job market.
Completion of C Level (entry level) training requires approximately seven months. Certification requires graduates of the training program to complete an additional five months on the job experience as a welder before receiving Provincial Ministry "C" Level certification.
Graduates may choose to continue on to the Welding B program.
