Admission requirements
You are welcome to apply to the Web Foundations program at any time. Your application will be processed when you have met all program admission requirements. Since Camosun invites applicants to register on a first-come, first-qualified, first-served basis, it's best to apply early.
- Proof of successful completion of BSCM 710V -Web Foundations Precourse
OR - Assessment of your web design skills by the Program Coordinator.
This is done by submitting links to websites that you have created. Email sofbus@camosun.ca with your request for assessment.
Program participation requirements
- A minimum of six hours per week of study time is required for the evening program and 18 hours/week for the daytime program.
- Access to an up-to-date computer with high speed Internet connection plus the current Adobe Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Photoshop software. (Adobe Creative Suite Web Premium bundle – academic price is approx. $350). The computer must meet or exceed the minimum specifications stated by Adobe to run these software productions.
- Additionally, students are required to purchase Web Hosting services by a service provider explicitly specified by Camosun College with an approximate annual cost of $40. Details of the service provider will be provided to the student when they have been accepted into a seat in the program.
You may wish to wait until you are registered for the program prior to purchasing software to take advantage of Academic pricing. Academic priced software is available at most software resellers, including UVic Computer Store, http://www.cstore.uvic.ca/. The UVic computer store is very familiar with ordering student priced software for Camosun students.

Completion requirements
