Erin Berry, a first year student in the Camosun Visual Arts Program had her work excepted for inclusion in the Beyond Borders, 16th Annual International Undergraduate Fine Art Juried Competition at the Western Washington University in Bellingham WA.

June 9: "Art School Confidential" a free talk by Anthony Kiendl. Kiendl was the keynote speaker for the Art Foundations 21 conference and Director of Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art (Winnipeg, MB). He spoke about art schools and pedagogy in a contemporary art context. 2011 graduates of the Camosun College Visual Arts Program will be presenting a collection of their work publicly at an exhibition April 30-May 5 from 12:00 to 6:00 daily and will be located at Unit #17 Market Square, 560 Johnson Street.

Open Space Nathan Bomford, "Bamberton: Contested Landscape" invites visitors to physically move through, over, under and around an installation made of reused material from demolition sites and from previous work. The structure confronts land use skirmishes of Bamberton, an abandoned cement plant on Vancouver Island, through architectural references and a fabricated oratorical arena. Camosun Visual Artist takes the common pencil to a whole new level
Visual arts instructor Brenda Petays' show Graphite Covers consists of a collection of 100 found objects covered in layers of graphite. On display at the Station House Gallery in Williams Lake, her work transforms everyday objects, bringing out their inner glow and structure.
