Tourism and Business
Thank you for your interest in the Tourism and Business certificate.
Unfortunately, the School of Business is required to reduce intakes of both the Tourism and Business certificate and the Tourism Management option of the diploma. These two programs will not be offered in Fall 2011. We will be making every effort to determine, as soon as possible, whether intakes will be available in Fall 2012. You will be notified, at the latest, by the end of January 2012 as to our offerings.
To ensure existing students can complete their programs, we WILL BE running the following courses in Fall 2011:
- TMGT 210 - Canadian Perspectives in Tourism
- TMGT 230 - Service Operations
- TMGT 271 - Indigenous Tourism Perspectives
If you are interested in these specific courses, please consider enrolling in them, but note they may not lead to a Tourism-specific credential. You can use these courses towards other credentials including a General Business diploma.
Beyond Fall 2011, we will not be offering TMGT courses again until Fall 2012, at which time we intend to offer TMGT 210 and TMGT 230 once annually to satisfy program requirements for the Hospitality Management and Golf programs respectively. We may not be able to run other TMGT courses in Fall 2012 or beyond.
