As a graduate, you'll start your career with knowledge and practical skills based in management and leadership, design and delivery of sport and fitness programs, and athlete and coach development. The Sport Management programs follow the Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) movement linking sport, education, recreation and health.
As a student
You will have the opportunity to do an internship in your diploma or degree. Learn more from our Co-operative Education and Career Services office.
While you're studying, you'll be eligible to gain:
- Run Jump Throw from Athletics Canada
- Emergency First Aid, Health Care Provider CPR.
Sport Management students gain knowledge necessary for gaining certifications through associations like British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA) and The National Coaching Institute (NCI).
In addition to internships, Camosun offers exchanges and field study opportunities combining learning with exploring a new country. In 2014, Sport Students travelled to Bolivia.
