Come out and learn more about the Public Administration program at an Information Session.
The Public Administration program provides you with the knowledge, skills and abilities you’ll need to enter the public administration field as a beginning practitioner. As you work through the program, you’ll gain a general overview of public administration at all levels of government, incorporating elements of general management practice including financial and human resource management along with a specific context for working in government.
You may be eligible for Prior Learning Assessment which recognizes the knowledge, skills and abilities you may already have, and assigns you specific credit. PLA provides a huge advantage as it can be given for up to 75% of a program. You may also receive transfer credit for other courses taken at the college or university level.
As a graduate, you’ll be ready to seek employment in a wide variety of municipal, provincial and federal government positions. You’ll also be able to seek employment in non-profit, regulatory and non-government environments.
