On which campus are the PACCT courses offered?

The School of Business is located at Camosun’s Interurban campus so all business courses are offered at Interurban, however some ACCT courses are also offered at Camosun’s Lansdowne campus to facilitate university transfer students, Camosun/UVIC students and part-time students who work down town.

Is there a student residence at the Interurban campus?

Not yet, but we remain hopeful.

Once I have graduated from the PACCT certificate program, will I have completed all the courses required by the CA, CGA, and CMA?

It depends on the number of required courses already satisfied by your degree, and on the professional accounting designation you have chosen to pursue.

Will I be a professional accountant if I have a degree and Camosun’s PACCT certificate credential?

Not quite, but you have completed the first big step, which is the degree requirement and the specific courses required by all three professional accounting bodies.

The second step is to obtain a job acceptable to the Chartered Accountants, or Certified General Accountants, or Certified Management Accountants and register with CA School of Business (CASB), or CGA PACE level, or CMA Strategic Leadership Program (SLP).

The third step is to successfully complete CASB or PACE or SLP and the related professional examinations.
