Thank you for your interest in the Nursing Access for Practical Nurses (NAPN) program. We are reviewing the existing program in order to offer a program that better meets the needs of Practical Nurses, provides a positive student experience, and which better reflects the education and experience of the students.
If you are interested in learning more about the Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) program that Camosun College offers please visit Nursing - Camosun College.
Turn your LPN into an RN
If you're a BC Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), this program provides an academic pathway to the second year of the Camosun Nursing program. In partnership with the University of Victoria, our program will help you complete a Baccalaureate of Science Degree in Nursing and become a Registered Nurse (RN).
Credit for your experience
As a BC Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you already have valuable nursing knowledge and practical experience. If you've decided to transition into a Registered Nursing role, this program will help you gain advanced placement into the Camosun/University of Victoria nursing program.
What you'll learn
In this four-month access program, you'll take a combination of university transfer and nursing courses. You'll then be eligible to transfer into the second year (third semester) of the nursing program at Camosun. You'll learn about the role of the registered nurse, develop your critical communication skills and integrate nursing knowledge and theory.
