Note: It is highly recommended that the academic admission requirements be completed within the past five years. If more than five years has elapsed, upgrading in the required subjects is recommended.
Missing admission requirements?
Mechanical Engineering Technology Access is an eight-month program, beginning each September, to help you meet the admission requirements for the Mechanical Engineering Technology program.
You'll have an opportunity to upgrade your knowledge of profession-related mathematics, physics and English; develop skills in computer-aided design (CAD) and engineering drawing preparation; and you'll get a reserved seat in the next intake of the the Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma program.
- You must complete all program courses and achieve an overall cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 in order to qualify for the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- In addition, you must successfully complete three Co-op work terms in order to receive a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Co-operative Education Designation.
- To qualify for the Internship Designation, you must complete one work term satisfactorily.
