The Certificate in Local Government Administration program gives you an opportunity to obtain recognition for post-secondary studies that relate directly to your role as a local government employee.
You'll study
- public administration,
- government services,
- public finance and law, and
- administration.
You can proceed into the Certificate in Local Government Service Delivery, developed by the Local Government Management Association of BC and administered through the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development.
The program has been designed so that learning is done through a combination of face-to-face classes and distributed learning modules designed to accommodate adult learners. You can discuss this opportunity and elective choices with your Program Leader. You’ll also complete electives in the areas of Public Administration, Business, Political Science, English or Business Communications.
