Are you up for further developing your capacity as a leader?
Great leadership is a challenge and the greatest competitive advantage an organization has. Engaging the hearts and minds of the people in organizations is how things get done. The degree to which people are engaged in their work is due to the quality of the leadership in place. We know that leaders need to be self aware as well as skilled in the art of strategically and successfully leading people and projects in today’s dynamic and complex work environments. This program will give you the opportunity to explore who you are as a leader as well as what kinds of things leaders are called upon to do.
The Leadership Development Certificate program is for anyone looking to formalize your learning in this area weather you are a seasoned leader or new to the role. This program's modular format is designed for the adult part-time learner. You can take a few courses or the entire program in a time frame that fits for you. A different assortment of core and elective modules will be offered three times a year - Fall, Winter and Spring. We recommend you start with the Leadership Overview (LDCT 500V) module.
What our learners have to say about the program.
Linda Mulhall is an amazing instructor! One of the best I’ve had in this program. Honest and very insightful, captured ‘teachable moments’. Anon.
Mary-Anne Neal – Thank you for making the class so much fun, very enjoyable. Love your passion and animated style of teaching. - CC
New format starting September, 2011!
New Students: To complete the program, students must complete a minimum of 141 hours of the required core and elective courses within 5 years. Once the classroom hours have been completed, students can submit an application for the final assessment of their learning.
We recommend that students take Leadership Overview before progressing to other courses. If that course fills, students are welcome to choose another module and register in the Overview course the next available section.
Current Students: Students who started the program prior to September 2011 will have 5 years to complete the 135 hour program. If you were part of the 125 hour program (pre 2007), you will need to complete the 135 hour program in order to receive your Certificate.
