Business Administration - Indigenous Business Leadership Option
Admission Requirements
Submit the following:
- submit proof of a letter grade of "C+" or higher in English 12 or English 12 First Peoples; or a "C" or higher in ENGL 092 and 094, or ENGL 092 and 096, or ENGL 140, or ELD 092 and 094, or ELD 097; or assessment;
- submit proof of a letter grade of "C" or higher in Principles of Math 11, or Pre-Calculus 11 or Foundations of Math 11, or Applications of Math 12, or a "C+" in MATH 072 , or assessment.
- a current resume which includes any related cultural, social, or professional volunteer as well as paid activities (See examples for possible formats: Example 1, Example 2, Example 3)
- a 100 word personal statement outlining how you think the program will benefit you and what you will bring to the program. You may state your goals, with respect to education, your practical experience in Indigenous communities (rural or urban, on or off reserve), the area of specialization that you will share with your fellow classmates, etc.
If you’re missing some prerequisites, don’t worry! We now have options for students who may not have the MATH or ENGLISH prerequisite and will work with you on an individual basis to design a program so that you can work on your program requirements while beginning your program. PLEASE CONTACT THE IBL PROGAM LEADER directly if you know that you are missing either Math 11 or Eng 12.

If you're enrolling in the Diploma in Business Administration program with the goal of moving directly into the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program you should identify your goals to the Admissions Department. Once identified, you'll be eligible, in the second year of the Business Administration program, to receive provisional admission into the BBA program based on anticipated completion of the admission requirements for the BBA program prior to BBA studies commencing. If you fail to complete admission requirements for the BBA program you'll have your admission revoked.

- You must successfully complete a minimum of eight first year courses before being admitted to second year
Completion Requirement(s):
- In order to qualify for a Diploma in Business Administration, Indigenous Business Leadership Option, students must successfully complete all required program courses and electives and achieve an overall cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
- In order to receive a Diploma in Business Administration, Indigenous Business Leadership Option, Co-operative Education Designation, students must successfully complete all required program courses and electives and achieve an overall cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 and two (2) work terms must be completed satisfactorily.
- In order to receive a Diploma in Business Administration, Indigenous Business Leadership Option, Internship Designation, students must successfully complete all required program courses and electives and achieve an overall cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 and one (1) work term must be completed satisfactorily.
