The School of Trades & Technology plays a vital role in training tradespeople, technicians, technologists and artisans on Southern Vancouver Island. We offer a variety of programs and courses to meet your needs, be they to establish or further your career in the trades or technologies, bridge into a third year Engineering program or just for your own personal interest through Continuing Education.
Facilities and Resources
You’ll have the opportunity to use the tools and equipment to work on truck tractors, dozers, excavators, etc. You will learn how the vehicles and equipment of the Heavy Mechanical Trades operate before learning to repair them – making you a much better mechanic.
Member of the Industry Training Authority (ITA)
The Industry Training Authority (ITA) leads and coordinates British Columbia's skilled trades system. ITA works with employers, employees, industry, labour, training providers and government to issue credentials, manage apprenticeships, set program standards, and increase opportunities in the trades.
