What are the admission/entrance requirements?

Applicants to the Golf Management program must complete a Camosun College Application Form, available on our website: http://camosun.bc.ca/learn/programs/golf/apply.html and submit along with transcripts showing you meet the admission requirements. See above for admission requirements.
What courses will I be studying?
The Golf Management program at Camosun is 2 years in length, the course listing can be found on our website: http://camosun.bc.ca/learn/programs/golf/study.html .
Students in the program are focused on acquiring relevant business skills in conjunction with golf specific courses such as tournament organization, golf management, golf product knowledge and food and beverage courses to name but a few. The focus is on giving students the necessary skills and knowledge to work in the golf industry in a variety of positions such as golf teaching professionals, pro shop assistants, tournament organizers, backshop managers, outside services coordinators, guest services, sales representatives, club marketing, and club managers.
The program is divided into two semesters, beginning the last week of September and finishing the first week in April (appox.).
What golfing privileges do students have?
Camosun's Golf Management students enjoy playing and practice discounts and allowances at a number of local golf facilities throughout the academic year (September-April).
How do the co-op/internships work?
Co-operative education gives students an opportunity to work in a dynamic workplace applying the skills learned in their career oriented programs. Who hires Camosun's Golf Management students?
Employers of student and graduates include courses throughout Vancouver Island, Vancouver, and BC, and Internationally.
Does Camosun have a Golf team?
Camosun does have a golf team (Chargers) and plays in the British Columbia Colleges' Athletic Association (BCCAA). The Camosun Chargers earned a silver medal at the Canadian Colleges’ Athletic Association Championship (CCAA) and the gold medal at the BCCAA Championship in the 2007-08 season.
