Associate of Arts Degree in Geography
Come out, meet your instructors and learn more at an Information Session!
Associate of Arts Degree in Geography program provides you with two years of full-time study, completing 20 courses, that will speed your transition into year three of a Bachelor Degree. An education in geography can take you places you might not expect! Some of the many career paths that have been pursued by geographers: geography teaching, environmental consulting, natural resource management, environmental monitoring, urban planning, census data collection and analysis and map making.
Geography gives you the opportunity to explore topics and methods in ways that you may not have even thought about. Climate change, globalization, racism, poverty, regional development, seismic activity, criminal behaviour, and AIDS are a few of the topics covered in the Associate of Arts Degree program. And research methods are ecclectic and actual: Remote Sensing, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Statistical Methods make geographical research exciting and practical.
