What's an Associate Degree?

An associate degree (AD) is designed to provide an educational experience that lays a solid foundation for further study. It is a two-year academic program made up of 20 university-level courses that can be used towards earning a bachelor's degree at Camosun or transferred into a University program

Begin your university degree

If your goal is to complete a four-year degree in arts, science, education business or commerce, you may be able to complete half of it at Camosun wheretuition costs are about 30% lower than BC universities.

This AD can also lead to a full block transfer to Royal Roads University's Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication program.

Small class sizes

Smaller class sizes mean more individual attention.

Program length 

The General Arts Associate of Arts Degree program provides some flexibility with course choices and scheduling, you can study full-time or part-time, and potentially year-round.

Career ready

As a graduate, you can choose to continue your studies with a bachelor's degree. You'll also be ready for any career that requires good communications skills and wide general knowledge. This Associate Degree can lead to a full block transfer to Royal Roads University's Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication program.
