Lisa KoronkoThe Governor General’s Collegiate Bronze medal has been awarded to Lisa Koronko who has achieved a perfect 9.0 GPA, representing straight A+ grades in every course for her Diploma in Business Administration - Finance Option, and is given annually to the top academic graduate(s) from a two-year or longer program.

Lisa was presented with her medal at the Spring 2011 Graduation Ceremony held June 17.

Lisa Koronko graduates this June with a perfect 9.0 GPA in Business Administration – Finance Option, Co-op. This summer she is working on a co-op work term in Vancouver with the accounting firm Williams & Company. Her position as a Compliance Officer has her travelling throughout the province with other co-op students to perform compliance reviews of tire retailers and new car dealerships to confirm they are collecting and remitting tire levies correctly.

In the fall she plans to return to Camosun for the BBA - Accounting degree program. "I feel that I've learned and grown a lot from my program at Camosun," says Lisa. "I gained a large knowledge base as it gave me a taste of many different aspects of business. Along the way, I was able to network and build memorable relationships with students and instructors; I feel these connections will be most valuable to me moving forward. I chose Camosun because of its proximity to my house and its smaller class sizes.

Of the award, Lisa says, "I am very grateful to be receiving this national award as a token of my hard work and dedication towards my schooling. Thank you!"
