Come out, and learn more...
If you have a love of wood-working and want a career that requires creativity, the Fine Furniture program is for you.
As a graduate of the Fine Furniture program, you'll have the knowledge and skills necessary for entry into the furniture design, construction or finishing/refinishing industries. Components of the course focus on furniture related skills and knowledge, but also cover aspects of the cabinet making and millwork trades. As a graduate of the program you'll receive credit for Level I of the Joinery apprenticeship. In addition, you’ll study business and presentation concepts that will aid in the marketing of your future work.
To see the quality of work completed by our students, check out the 2008 Fine Furniture Showcase gallery.
For more information on the Joinery Apprenticeship program, visit the Industry Training Authority.
The Fine Furniture - Joinery program is a full-time, 10-month program offered at the Interurban campus, starting in September each year. Apply early as this popular program tends to fill fast!
If you are looking for something less intensive to meet your individual needs, we also offer a variety of weekend and evening woodworking and furniture skills courses through the Continuing Education, as well as a Foundation program in Carpentry.
