Camosun instructor, Dr. Jim Sexton, is the longest serving English faculty member (since the college opened in 1971) and a world-acknowledged expert in the works of Aldous Huxley. His biographical entry on Huxley has been published in book and digital formats for Encyclopedia of Twentieth-Century Fiction, Blackwell, UK, 2010. His latest book, Consider the Lilies and Other Short Fiction by Aldous Huxley (ELS Editions), is now available from Camosun Library. Jim teaches full-time in fall term and devotes the rest of the year to travel and research. A curator of the Center for Aldous Huxley Studies (University of Muenster, Germany), he has just edited the latest number of the Aldous Huxley Annual, a copy of which he has donated to our library. He has recently been asked to join the editorial team for the Cambridge University Press Works of Joseph Conrad. His recently discovered letter from Joseph Conrad to Jacques Rivière will appear in the 2012 number of The Conradian. Jim looks forward to resuming his teaching duties both online and face-to-face in the fall.
Just released is the Aldous Huxley Annual which is the official organ of the Aldous Huxley Society at the Centre for Aldous Huxley Studies in Münster, Germany.
