Jodi Lundgren has just published her new novel Leap (available at our bookstore). Jodi grew up in Victoria dancing and writing. Later on, she trained and performed as a dancer while pursuing a Ph.D. in English in Seattle, WA. The winner of a Canada Council Emerging Writer’s grant, she has published a previous novel, Touched (Anvil), and her short stories and creative non-fiction have appeared in Dropped Threads, Adbusters, Room of One’s Own, Capilano Review, sub-Terrain, and others. After two years as Writer-in-Residence at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops BC, she returned to live in Victoria, where she teaches English and Creative Writing at Camosun College. |

Programs
It's new: Diploma in Arts and Science Studies
Starting January 2012, Camosun will offer a Diploma in Arts and Science Studies, a new credential from the School of Arts and Science. You will need to complete 20 university transfer courses (60 credits). At least 14 courses must be offered by the School of Arts and Science. This gives you the flexibility and freedom to study courses of your choosing. More info...
Associate of Arts Degree in English
Our Associate of Arts Degree in English is a two-year, full-time program that will allow you to transfer to the third year of an English degree program at any university in British Columbia. You'll take courses with classmates whose goals and interests are similar to yours. When you graduate, you'll receive a credential that will be recognized by many employers and universities. Associate of Arts Degree in Creative Writing
Our two-year, full-time Associate of Arts Degree in Creative Writing program allows you to explore a career in writing and gain a broad understanding of each of four writing genres—fiction, non-fiction, playwriting, poetry—while completing a range of courses in the liberal arts and sciences. You'll complete at least three first-year, and two second-year, writing courses. See our e-journal, Beside the Point, encouraging submissions from emerging creative writers. More information...
University Transfer
Explore your interests! University Transfer allows you to take courses either part- or full-time, starting Fall, Winter or Spring/Summer. This is an excellent choice in that it allows you to consider your academic focus while you upgrade. In addition, your courses count toward an Associate of Arts Degree. More information...
