What You’ll Learn

Imagine and Design

You’ll develop a foundation in engineering science and a working knowledge of the graphics-based software applications used within engineering and architectural design.

What to expect

Throughout this rigorous program, you'll spend about 25 hours a week in class, and each day you can expect an additional three or four hours of homework. In return, we'll give you a foundation in engineering science and a working knowledge of the graphics-based software applications used within engineering and architectural design.

Term 1

In your first term, you’ll be introduced to computer concepts, 2D engineering drawing and publishing applications as well as an overview of the manufacturing process.

Term 2

In your second term, you’ll study design visualization, advanced commercial practices and 3D computer-aided-design.

Internship

Camosun will work with you to find a placement for your one-month internship. During this unpaid work experience you will apply the skills you’ve obtained throughout the program.

Your Internship

The internship designation is an integrated component of this program. It is unpaid work experience that can enable you to experience employment opporunities and often leads to permanent employment.
