Electrical Engineering Bridge
Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering Bridge
The Electrical Engineering Bridge program, offered by Camosun with the full support and co-operation of the University of Victoria (UVic), provides access to the third year of Electrical Engineering for graduate Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technologists. You’ll study advanced topics that aren’t typically found in technology programs, and you’ll be able to continue your studies toward a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
As an electrical engineer, you'll be trained in designing, developing, operating, maintaining and researching power distribution systems, automotive systems, communications systems, medical systems and a huge variety of electricity-dependent products and systems, ranging from tiny consumer products to alternative energy sources to huge hydroelectric dams.
Co-operative education is mandatory at UVic. However, the work terms are transferable between institutions.
The Electrical Engineering bridge is a six-month program offered at the Interurban Campus. It starts in late June of each year, allowing subsequent entry into the third year of UVic.
