Computer Science Bridge
Advanced Diploma in Computer Science Bridge
The Computer Science Bridge program, offered by Camosun with the full support and co-operation of the University of Victoria (UVic), provides access to the third year of Computer Science for graduate Computer Systems Technologists.* You’ll study advanced topics that aren’t typically found in technology programs, and you’ll be able to continue your studies toward a Bachelor of Science degree.
As a computer scientist, you’ll be in high demand for employment in Canada and worldwide—Computer programmers and interactive media developers write, modify, integrate and test computer code (the detailed and logical instructions that computers follow in order to function). Computer programmers write, test and maintain code for microcomputer and mainframe software applications, data processing applications, operating systems-level software and communications software. Interactive media developers write, test and maintain computer code for Internet applications, computer-based training software, computer games, film, video and other interactive media.**
Co-operative education is optional at UVic. Work terms are transferable between institutions.
The Computer Science Bridge is an eight-month program offered at the Interurban Campus and UVic. It starts in January of each year, allowing subsequent entry into third year at UVic in either September or January.
