Steps to apply and register


Step 1: Select your category

International Students
You must

  • be 19 years or older
  • meet the guidelines established by Citizenship and Immigration Canada for international students studying in Canada
  • contact Camosun College International
    (they will assist you with Step 2: Placement, and Step 3: Application and Registration)
  • bring your legal documents

Permanent Residents (Landed Immigrants) and Canadian Citizens
You must

  • be 19 years or older
  • meet the prerequisites for each course, OR
  • take an English language assessment to help us place you at the correct level
  • bring your legal documents

If you are a Permanent Resident (Landed Immigrant), Refugee, or Canadian Citizen and do not meet the prerequisites, go to step 2.

If you are a Permanent Resident (Landed Immigrant), Refugee or Canadian Citizen and do meet the prerequisites, go to step 3.

Step 2: Make an appointment for the ESL placement test

If you have studied English as a Second Language (ESL) less than two years

If you've studied ESL longer than two years

If you are unsure if you have the prerequisites

  • make an appointment for an assessment

Step 3: Apply and register

If you are taking ELD 032 to 064

If you are taking ELD 072 to 097

Congratulations! You are now a Camosun College student. Welcome!
