The Associate of Arts Degree in Economics is a joint program of the School's of Arts and Science and Business. This two-year program can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis, and consists of twenty university transfer courses including required courses in economics, statistics, science and English and a number of elective courses. We offer day-time and evening courses in all semesters.
What can you do with an Associate of Arts Degree in Economics?
After completing the program you can continue in third year in the following programs*:
- Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics at Simon Fraser University or the University of Victoria
- Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Victoria
- Bachelor of Business Administration at Camosun College
- Business or Economics programs at other universities.
*Please meet with an academic advisor to complete a personal learning plan based on your choice for future studies.

Work Experience is Now an Option for Associate Degree Students
Associate Degree programs have either a Co-op or Internship option. Students will gain practical work experience, which may be paid or unpaid, through either a four-month Internship or two co-op work terms, available after eight courses of academic study. Academic Upgrading College Preparatory
Camosun offers all the prerequisite upgrading courses required for entrance into college or university programs. These Academic Upgrading courses are tuition free but do include some fees. More information...
