BC Adult Graduation Diploma (Grade 12 equivalency)
- attendance at a program information session is highly recommended for new students
Admission requirements
- meet the prerequisite requirements* for each course
*Students are admitted based on their previous educational background and experience. If your high school transcripts are dated, or if you do not have any transcripts, you will need to take an assessment before registering. (Note: There is an assessment fee.)
*If you lack the required subjects or grade levels for admission, we offer upgrading in a variety of formats to meet your needs.
Completion requirements
To graduate with a BC Adult Graduation Diploma (grade 12 equivalency), you must
- be 19 years of age or older (or 18 years, if you have been out of school for one year)
- have taken at least three (3) courses as an "adult" at either Camosun College, through the secondary school system or another post-secondary institution
- have completed at least one (1) course at Camosun College; and,
- have credit for all five (5) required courses (course work must include English 12 or equivalent or higher, and Math 11 or equivalent or higher). These credits can be a combination of both secondary and post-secondary course work; and,
- achieve an accumulative GPA of 2.0 ("C" average).
