Clients of all ages welcome.
Care is provided by dental hygiene students under the direction and supervision of qualified faculty.
Services offered:
- Oral health assessment (re. includes head and neck, teeth, tissues, gums, bone)
- Personalized dental health education and oral hygiene instruction
- Treatment of gum disease
- X-rays
- Fluoride application
- Sealants
- Professional removal of tooth deposits (plaque, calculus, stain)
- Selective polishing
- Dietary counseling (related to dental health)
- Impressions / study models
- Desensitization of teeth
- Placement of temporary fillings
- Fabrication of sports guards / mouth guards
- Referrals for dental care beyond the scope of dental hygiene practice
Records are used for teaching purposes and become the property of the College, however x-rays taken can be duplicated and sent to your family dentist.
Requirements: The initial appointment is a free half hour screening visit to determine how your dental needs can best be met.
Commitment: please keep your appointments—our students count on your commitment.
Time: appointments are at least 2.5 hrs in length. Examination and assessment may take more than one appointment.
Fees: nominal. Average cost for adults: $35-$60 (a number of appointments are usually required). Average cost for children: $5-$20 (Only one appointment is usually required).
If under 18, parental consent is required.
