The Computer Systems Technician and Technology programs have been updated, and are no longer being offered in this format.

Students interested in computer systems can now apply to the new Information and Computer Systems program.

Real world experience

An internship gives you paid work experience and a taste of what the IT industry has to offer. To obtain the Internship Designation, you must complete at least one three-month work term. Find out more by contacting Co-operative Education and Career Services.

Adding a work integrated learning such as an internship increases your chances of getting better employment when you graduate. A University of Waterloo study showed that students who integrate a work term into their academic program are more likely to get great jobs in their field when they graduate. Learn more.
