Access Program

Computer and Engineering Technician Access is a four-month program, beginning in September, to help you meet the admission requirements for the Computer Network Electronics Technician program.

You'll have an opportunity to upgrade your knowledge of profession-related mathematics, and English; learn about the fields of computers and electronics depending on the options chosen; and you'll get a reserved seat in the next intake of the Computer Network Electronics Technician program.

Participation requirements

To be eligible to participate in the Internship (Certificate) or Co-op (Advanced Certificate) options, you must complete all first-year courses including CDEV WPS, obtain a GPA of 3.0, and be fully enrolled in the term preceding the work term.

Certificate in Computer Network Electronics Support Technician

  • complete all year one courses with an overall GPA of at least 2.0
  • COM in CDEV WPS

Certificate in Computer Network Electronics Support Technician, Internship Designation

  • complete all year one courses with an overall GPA of at least 2.0
  • COM in CDEV WPS
  • satisfactorily complete at least one work term

Advanced Certificate in Computer Network Electronics Technician

  • complete all year one and two courses with an overall GPA of at least 2.0
  • COM in CDEV WPS

Advanced Certificate in Computer Network Electronics Technician, Internship Designation

  • complete all year one and two courses with an overall GPA of at least 2.0
  • COM in CDEV WPS
  • satisfactorily complete at least one work term

Advanced Certificate in Computer Network Electronics Technician, Co-operative Education Designation

  • complete all year one and two courses with an overall GPA of at least 2.0
  • COM in CDEV WPS
  • satisfactorily complete at least one work term
  • end your program on an academic term after the work term
