Civil Engineering Technologists are employed with:

  • engineering consultants,
  • contractors,
  • soils and materials firms,
  • testing laboratories,
  • project management consultants or
  • government ministries.

As part of an engineering team, you may become involved in all phases of a variety of projects, including the design and construction of structures, highways, airports, dams, subways, subdivisions and water and sewage treatment plants.

In this 2 year program you’ll be introduced to CAD and drafting techniques, surveying on state-of-the-art equipment, computer-based design systems and all aspects of project management. You’ll acquire the skills and knowledge you need for a successful career within the wide-ranging field of civil engineering.

If you’d like to gain relevant work experience while you’re studying, Co-operative Education is an optional component of the Civil Engineering Technology program.Camosun also offers Civil Engineering Technology Access and Civil Engineering Bridge, which leads you toward a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering.

The program starts late September at the Interurban Campus.
