Thank you for your interest in the CAPE program At this time, we are reviewing this program’s content and delivery options, so applications are not being accepted. However, we have found that students interested in the CAPE program are also interested in English for the Workplace—e-Work.
If you're an internationally-trained professional and you need to:
- improve your English,
- prepare to write an exam to become certified in your field, or
- gain Canadian work experience,
the CAPE certificate program will help you! Read about one student's academic journey...
Academic and Professional English provides training in:
- academic, workplace, and occupation–specific English,
- job-finding skills and strategies,
- expectations of the Canadian workplace.
You'll participate in a 34–hour job shadowing / work experience in a Canadian workplace. With your improved skills in English, you'll have more job opportunities in Canada.
For full-time students, the program starts in September, January or May. Most classes are held at the Interurban Campus and are delivered through classroom and self-paced academic and professional labs, plus work experience off-site.
