If you're an internationally-trained professional and you need to improve your English, prepare to write an exam to become certified in your field, or gain Canadian work experience, the CAPE certificate program has the options you need to set you on the right path for the future.
This program provides training in
- academic, workplace and occupation–specific English
- job-finding skills and strategies
- expectations of the Canadian workplace.
You'll participate in a 34–hour job shadowing / work experience in a Canadian workplace. With your improved skills in English you'll have more job opportunities in Canada. Additional career placement assistance may be available to you through Career Solutions.
For full-time students, the program starts in September, January or May and lasts eight months. Classes are held at the Interurban Campus. Talk to an Academic Advisor to learn about part-time options.
