This information is to assist you in requesting transfer credit for courses successfully completed at other institutions. Transfer credit is granted if your courses are equivalent to the content for the courses you are seeking equivalency for.
- An excellent resource on transfer credit information is the British Columbia Transfer Tips and you are strongly urged to read this document prior to applying for transfer credit. Once you have reviewed this document, refer to the Assessment of Transfer Credit under the Admissions and Registration Policies and Procedures of the Camosun College calendar.
- The BC Transfer Credit Guide will assist you in determining if your course or courses are equivalent to those offered in the School of Business for the specific program that you are applying for. Student Responsibility
Required documents to support your request:
- Submit your application for admission and pay the application fee. Identify the program name and specialization/major (if applicable) on your admission application form. This must be done before your transfer credit request will be assessed.
- Transfer credit evaluation is based on assessing courses that are relevant to the program identified on your application form.
- Official transcript in a sealed envelope from the issuing post secondary institution to the Registrar’s Office.
- For dated and out-of-province transcripts, you must submit official detailed course outlines from the appropriate calendar year(s) for each course being assessed as they provide more detail to assist in the review process.
- For out-of-Canada institutions, originals of foreign transcripts and detailed course outlines must be submitted with official English translations.
NOTE: Transfer credit requests will NOT be processed if you have not submitted your application form or paid your application fee.
Contact Enrolment Services for assistance on the application process. For additional information on transfer credit requests, refer to the Academic Advising website or email them.
Deadlines
- Submit your supporting documentation and associated fees at least two months prior to the start of the semester you are enrolling in. This is to ensure that any required prerequisites for the specific business program you are applying for can be assessed. Transfer credit requests take 6 to 8 weeks for processing.
Restrictions
- Do not include courses currently in progress. Only successfully completed courses will be considered for transfer credit.
