Marketing Student Takes on the Great Canadian Sales Competition
Kiana Pomponio, 4th year Bachelor of Business Administration, Marketing Major student, was one of only 25 finalists invited to compete in the final round of The Great Canadian Sales Competition.
The Great Canadian Sales Competition (GCSC) introduces and educates more than 4,000 university and college students each year on sales as a potential career path. Along the way, these young Canadians develop real world business and sales skills, learn about some of the hottest and best established companies and many meet their first employer!
Kiana was one of more than 4,200 national post-secondary students to apply and the only student from Camosun College and Vancouver Island to advance to the final round of the 2019 championship. Kiana will be representing Air Canada in Toronto on April 4th. She will be receiving one-on-one mentoring from Air Canada’s Manager of Corporate Sales, Brad Sutherland, as she prepares for her final pitch presentation on ‘Why her Post-Secondary Institution Should Look to Introduce a Sales Degree Program’.
Kiana won the People’s Choice Award and is coming home with $2,500 in prize money for her final pitch presentation.
