COVID-19 FAQ Information on BUS 201 and ACCT 499 Applied Work Experience Requirement.
This FAQ message is to provide support and choices available for students that are currently enrolled in either ACCT 499 or BUS 201. Given the challenges we are currently facing regarding the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, graduating students may request an exemption from the BBA applied work experience requirement for Summer 2020.
If you are choosing ACCT 499 non-co-op work experience you are advised to take the following steps:
The ACCT 499 is a self-directed work experience that provides students an opportunity to apply and expand accounting academic knowledge while employed in paid or volunteer positions and/or projects. It is the responsibility of the student to secure their ACCT 499 position or combination of projects (paid or volunteer).
Contact the Program Leader for the Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting Major to determine whether the work that has been completed or is being proposed will satisfy the requirement for relevant and applied work experience and meets (will meet) the minimum requirement of ACCT 499 (420 hours).
