Scholarships & Awards

Business Administration

Most awards/scholarships are presented at the annual School of Business Awards Ceremony normally held in November. In late October the selection committee will notify recipients of their award/scholarship and invitation letters to the ceremony are then mailed out to award recipients. Award criteria and monetary amounts are subject to change.

Dean's Scholarship
This award is presented to the student who has demonstrated academic and personal growth during her/his 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of studies in the School of Business, worthy of recognition by the faculty, staff, Associate Dean and Dean, or have contributed to the life of the School of Business as a student demonstrating character, leadership, spirit and academic performance. No application is required.

Gilbert Murray Scholarship
Gilbert Murray, charter member of the School of Business, retired from Camosun College in 1998. Established by School of Business faculty in recognition of Gilbert's service to the College, the School and to the students, this award is presented to the student in the Management option who has the highest grade point average in his/her first year of studies .No Application is required.

Hector and Cecilia Duprey Achievement Award
Hector Duprey, charter member of the School of Business, retired from Camosun College in 1985. Established by School of Business faculty in recognition of Hector's devoted instruction and care of Camosun College students, is presented to the student with the highest GPA in the first year (ten or more courses) of the Business Administration, Public Administration or Hotel and Restaurant Management programs.

Victoria Real Estate Board Awards
Presented to two students returning to continue second year studies in a School of Business diploma program who have demonstrated commitment and high academic standing.
