The world we know is an interconnected web of life. Biology surrounds us, sustains us, is us.
Biology is the study of life from the molecular to a global perspective. It is the science that studies living organisms, including their structure, function, growth, origin, evolution and distribution. This is an exciting and dynamic area of study.
As a graduate of the two-year long Associate of Science Degree in Biology program, you'll have successfully completed a well-rounded two-year slate of studies, and you'll be ready to meet new challenges in employment or further education— you'll also have demonstrated both the commitment and competence necessary for success in post-secondary academics and in the professional workforce.
Transfer and Credit Agreements
Camosun has an agreement with Royal Roads University that allow for a smooth transition for qualified students from the Associate of Science Degree in Biology program to finish their degrees. Royal Roads University offers a full block transfer for students with the appropriate prerequisite qualifications into the third year for the BSc Environmental Sciences program or BSc Environmental Management.
Work Experience is now an option for Associate Degree students
Associate Degree programs have either a Co-op or Internship option. Students will gain practical work experience, which may be paid or unpaid, through either a four-month Internship or two co-op work terms, available after eight courses of academic study.
