If you answered "Yes", then the BEST program could be your first step. The full-time program is offered twice in the fall and winter and takes eight weeks to complete. Most classes are held at the Interurban Campus.
This program will help you examine your interests and abilities so you can make informed decisions about your future.
BEST aims to:
- assist you in developing a realistic awareness of your interests, abilities and potential
- help you build a healthy self confidence
- support you in setting personal, career and educational goals
- encourage you to explore education and training opportunities at Camosun College and elsewhere
- inform you about current labour market and work search strategies.
BEST is designed as a general program. The strategies and techniques learned are applicable across the entire spectrum of employment today, from entry-level positions to those occupied by experienced mangers, decision makers and entrepreneurs.
Secondary school students may apply to take BEST through the LYNC (Leading Youth to New Careers) program.
Graduates of BEST, who pursue Academic Upgrading at the Intermediate level, may wish to complete the requirements for the Certificate in Intermediate Academic Upgrading.
