The Automotive Service Technician program prepares you for entry into the automotive mechanical repair trade, and provides possible accreditation toward Year 1 Apprenticeship training.
Electric Vehicle Maintenance Training Program
Camosun is preparing to offer a new 36-hour Electric Vehicle (EV) Maintenance Training program later this year. A pilot program will be launched in Fall 2021 with a full offering of the program expected in 2022. Red Seal Automotive Technicians looking to upgrade their skills to work on electric vehicles should monitor the college’s Trades programs webpages: camosun.ca/trades for updates. With over 5,600 licenced electric vehicles on the road on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands today, and the use of zero-emissions vehicles growing exponentially, Camosun is now the region’s electric vehicle training hub for automotive technicians seeking to enhance their skills now and into the future.
