Optional Internship

Real world experience

After your second year, you can take an optional internship (minimum-300 hours) after completion of all the program courses and COOP WEP. Students usually complete the work term between May and August.

You'll need to complete all program courses achieving an overall cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 to be eligible for an optional ACBT internship (CHEM-290).

Internship options

If you plan to pursue the internship designation, you will also need to complete four seminar courses and one work term course.

Please consult with the Department Chair to discuss the work term course that will best meet your future career and educational goals.

Eligibility for Internship Work Experience

  • In order to be eligible for participation in a work term leading to an internship designation, you must achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (C+); and complete all courses in the program, and COOP WEP prior to the your first work term.
